Physibel is excited to be in Minneapolis this May for a hands-on workshop and SimBuild 2026.
On 19 May 2026, we will host a half-day workshop on 3D Thermal Bridge Modelling for Code Compliance, tailored to the U.S. regulatory framework. This session combines essential code knowledge with practical simulation using SOLIDO, giving participants tools they can immediately apply in practice.
What to expect:
- Code & standards overview
Gain insight into international thermal bridging approaches, with a focus on U.S. requirements, performance metrics, and compliance pathways. - Hands-on modelling with SOLIDO
Work directly with Physibel’s software to:- Import geometries (STL format)
- Create computational meshes
- Run thermal simulations
- Interpret results
-
Compliance calculations
Learn how to derive key metrics from simulation outputs:- U-values (equivalent thermal transmittance)
- ψ-values (linear thermal transmittance)
- χ-values (point thermal transmittance)
These results will be used to generate reports aligned with U.S. standards.
Following the workshop, we will attend SimBuild 2026 from 20–22 May in which we will showcase the latest developments in SOLIDO, with a particular focus on advanced meshing techniques. Our conference presentation, “3D Thermal Bridge Effects on Complex Facade Details: Practical Importance and Modelling Strategies (ID 402)”, will take place on May 21, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00.
